All of my quilts are handmade. I take much care in how they are made....mostly,
because making them is so much fun! This is an item that my husband and I work on together. All the
cutting, pinning and sewing goes by quickly when we work together on these. Not exactly how we envisioned
spending our evenings, but creating these quilts is a blast! My quilting teacher is my mother-in-law, so
her methods have rubbed off on me. We carefully cut and stitch together
our pieces and add quilting batting between our front and back panels. We then finish off the quilt
by machine stitching the middle of the blanket to add stability so that the batting won't
shift. Finally, we add satin binding around the outside.
Blue and Yellow Quilt This quilt is made up of many fun designs of both flannel and minkie fabrics. The size is approximately
34 by 42 inches. It is the perfect crib size for a child from newborn to age 3 or 4. You'll find that a
child will really get attached to this quilt, so they may even want to have it for years beyond 4 years old.
It is made to last for years. The back of the quilt is a very nice yellow flannel fabric.
Four Pattern - Patchwork Minkie Quilt This quilt is made up of four patterns of minkie fabric. Two swirl (curly) minkie colors, one minkie dot fabric
and the last one is a beautiful yellow chenille. The many textures are great to snuggle with. The quilt is
approximately 33 by 38 inches. The back of the quilt is a wonderful yellow/white stripe flannel.
